Feeling Pink

I say sorry to my readers if they are still here for neglecting my blog for so long . It's not fair for those who come to visit and find nothing new. Life has become a Pandora's box, there are so many things, sometimes you find somethings that you want but not always what you need and sometimes you find nothing. Life is like that! I consider myself very lucky so I will not complain or I must say that I have stopped doing that. Still it's good to be here in this beautiful world. Last week I was in Nantes a beautiful French city and there I discovered a fabric shop 'Toto' where you can buy fabric by kilos. This lovely pink flowers fabric was a real catch.

Spring is on its way/Printemps n'est pas loin

Yesterday I completed this bag that I made from my favourite Ikea fabric. I was waiting for this fabric since last year and few days ago suddenly it was available in the shop so I could not resist myself making a beautiful flowery spring bag. I will gift it to one of my friends for her birthday. I hope she will like it.

Hier j'ai terminé ce sac que j'ai fait avec mon tissu Ikea préféré. J'attendais ce tissu depuis plusieurs mois et tout à coup il était disponible dans le magasin alors je n'ai pas pu m'empêcher de faire un joli sac de printemps à fleur. Je vais l'offrir à une de mes amies pour son anniversaire. J'espère qu'elle va l'aimer.

Slowly I am getting back to my routine and I have a lot of things to share with you from my India trip. There are photos of my city, its culture, architecture, small shops and big advertising hoardings too, the places I visited and obviously the treasure I found there. Of course the first in this series are the fabrics I bought over there. Cotton and polysters are easily available here in France even if it's more expensive but I did not see good quality silk in French shops so I took various colours of it. Choosing a colour was a hard task as there were thousands of shades in front of me. Still lovely cotton fabrics were irresistable!

Peu à peu je reprend ma routine et j'ai beaucoup de choses à partager avec vous de mon voyage en Inde. Il y a des photos de ma ville, sa culture, l'architecture, des petites boutiques et aussi des grands panneaux publicitaires, les endroits que j'ai visité et évidemment le trésor que j'ai trouvé là-bas. Bien sûr la première de cette série sont les tissus que j'ai acheté là-bas. Coton et polysters sont disponibles ici en France, même si c'est un peu plus cher, mais je n'ai jamais trouvé la soie de bonne qualité dans les magasins français alors j'ai pris des couleurs différentes de celle-ci. Choisir une couleur était une tâche difficile car il y avait des milliers de nuances en face de moi. Quand même les jolis cotons étaient irrésistibles!

Indian handicraft

I am leaving for India tomorrow for a month. India has a large textile manufacturing industry and I am going to take full profit of this speciality . My hunt is not limited to fabrics, India is a handicraft expert too so I will surely try to fill my bags with various cute little things like this red bag and handmade key-chains. Je pars demain pour l'Inde pour un mois . L'Inde a une grande industrie de fabrication de textiles, et je vais me profiter de cette spécialité de mon pays. Ma chasse ne se limite pas aux tissus, l'Inde est un expert de l'artisanat aussi alors je vais certainement essayer de remplir mes sacs avec des jolies choses comme ce sac rouge et les porte-clés fait à la main. My appartment is still in a very bad shape, furniture is scattered all over and for right now dust is our guest. How to cheer up the mood? Luckily it's the sale time here in France and you can guess very well where did I go to shop. You are right I went straight away to the fabric paradise that I found few months ago. A huge addition to my fabric collection!

Mon appartement est toujours en très mauvais état, les meubles sont éparpillés et la poussière est notre invitée. Comment améliorer le morale? Heureusement, il y a des soldes ici en France et vous avez bien deviné où je suis allée pour faire le shopping. Vous avez raison, je suis allée directement au paradis de tissu que j'ai trouvé il ya quelques mois. Un grand ajout à ma collection de tissu!
